NMS is a cell phone free environment.  Please leave your phones at home.

Student Leadership will have another spirit week this week.  Dress up each day and enter to win a pizza party for you and 3 friends.  You could also win a free slice of pizza every Thursday for the rest of the school year!

Spirit Week Dress-Up Days:

Mis-Match Monday – wear wacky clothes form head to toe

Tropical Tuesday – dress for warmer weather

Wear Your Comfies Wednesday – wear sweats and hoodies

Twin Thursday – find a friend and dress alike

Fan Friday – represent your favourite sport or team

 

Alice in Wonderland – all actors need to be in the gym no later than 12:45 to get into costumes and makeup.  Crew can come to the gym at 1:00.

Grade 5&7 classes will be watching Alice in Wonderland this afternoon.  Classes will be called down to the gym just before 1:30. Please remember that you are representing the school and should be respectful of the actors on stage.

Reminder to grade 8 students for the afternoon break that the play will be running during the break.  Please keep your noise level down when passing the stage doors so the audience can enjoy the show.

For students who are heading to the Learning Commons at lunch, today is a grade 7 day for computers.

There will be NO intramurals this week as the gym is set up for the drama production.

Gym classes will take place in the Learning Commons this week.

The student-led canteen will be open today at lunch with some new items on the menu.  Students will be called down at lunch.

Student Leadership will meet today at lunch in the Human Ecology Lab.

Pizza this week will be coming from Santa Lucia!

After a very close race and one landslide win, the two finalists for the Tournament of Book Series are Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. The voting link will be shared with your teachers later today.  Voting closes at noon on Friday!

Attention basketball players, if you have not yet done so, please return your jersey to the office or to Mr. Kukkonen.  Your student account will be charged $20 if it is not returned.
