Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope you’re all doing well! As we settle into our routines, we want to send a quick reminder about keeping our students safe during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times. These are some of the busiest moments of our day, and a little extra care from everyone goes a long way.
A few helpful reminders:
- Please drive slowly and stay alert for students walking or biking, particularly near crosswalks.
- Follow all posted signs—they’re there to help things run smoothly and safely.
- Use the designated drop-off and pick-up areas only, and avoid stopping in crosswalks or double-parking. Only school buses are allowed in our bus loop before 9:00 am and from 3:30-4:15 pm. The west side of 5th Ave S and the south side of 3rd St S can be used for drop-offs and pick-ups. The Son City parking lot is also a good option.
- Stay off your phone while in the school zone so we can all stay focused on safety.
We would also ask that you remind your children to also be careful when traveling to and from school, and to ensure they are accessing the crosswalks and only crossing when it is safe to do so.
We truly appreciate your patience and cooperation. Your care and attention help make our school a safe, welcoming place for every student.
