March 18, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Yesterday you received an email from Hanover School Division stating that  “Schools will remain open and classes in session through Friday, March 20, 2020. However, the Chief Medical Officer of Manitoba is encouraging parents/guardians (who are able) to keep their children home from school.”  We would just like to remind you of this protocol.

As was previously announced by the provincial government, classes at Niverville Middle School will be suspended from March 23 – 27 and April 6 – 9, 2020.  Please continue to monitor school division and provincial announcements for updates.

Please be advised that this week, our teachers have been working very hard preparing at-home learning plans for their students. It is our understanding that teachers have already established lines of communication with the home. Also, some teachers have started to communicate and/or distribute learning packages for their students. Please note that any learning packages not ready this week, will be made available for pick up in our Learning Commons next week.

We look forward to partnering with you during these uncertain and unprecedented times. Please feel free to communicate directly with your child’s teachers, if you have any questions pertaining to your child’s learning plan.

Sincerely,

Michael Koester, Principal

Craig Cumming, Vice Principal
